THERE'S A NEW BRITISH BRUTE IN TOWN - THE ASTON MARTIN DB12 S - AND IT'S BANGING!

Aston Martin has just taken its Super Tourer formula and turned the volume knob all the way to 11. Meet the DB12 S - the ultimate evolution of Aston’s grand touring weapon. It takes everything we love about the DB12 - the performance, the precision, the jawline-melting beauty - and dials in more of everything: more power, more noise, more feel. If the DB12 is the GT for those who drive, the DB12 S is for those who live to drive. The ‘S’ badge isn’t just a letter at Aston Martin, it’s a legacy. It goes all the way back to the DB3S in 1953, a race-bred machine that embodied the brand’s blend of grace and grit. Since then, the ‘S’ suffix has marked the top tier of Aston performance, from the thunderous Vanquish S to the ballistic V12 Vantage S and the refined Rapide S. The DB12 S now steps into that lineage as the brand’s most potent and dynamically charged Super Tourer yet. At its heart sits an even wilder version of the AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, reworked by Aston’s engineers into a snarling masterpiece. Power climbs to 515 kW at 6,000 rpm, with a monstrous 800 Nm of torque available across a wide band. That’s enough to fire the DB12 S from 0–60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, all the way to a 202 mph top end. Launch control now snaps through the gears over 50% quicker, giving it that instant, spine-pinning response you’d expect from something wearing the winged badge.

And oh, that noise. The new quad-exit stainless steel exhaust has been tuned like a fine instrument - deeper, more layered, and unapologetically aggressive. For those who want to take things further, a titanium system shaves 11.7 kg and adds an extra 1.5 dB of soundtrack for the full Goodwood Hillclimb symphony treatment.

Underneath, Aston’s engineers have gone full mad scientist. The Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers have been recalibrated, the rear anti-roll bar stiffened, and the steering geometry fine-tuned for sharper front-end bite and even more natural steering feel. Combined with tweaks to the E-diff and throttle mapping, the DB12 S now dances between corners with the kind of balance that’s as precise as it is playful. The new Carbon Ceramic Brakes are standard issue, dropping 27 kg of unsprung mass. The result? Sharper steering, better composure, and fade-free stopping power, no matter how brutal the pace gets. With 410 mm discs up front and 360 mm at the rear, they’re engineered to deliver repeatable, confidence-boosting braking lap after lap.

New software-driven wizardry like Corner Braking Control (CBC) and Integrated Brake Slip Control blends electronic smarts with mechanical feel. They let the DB12 S brake later, trail deeper into corners, and pivot with poise, giving seasoned drivers that addictive one-more-lap sensation. Visually, it’s a sharper, more muscular take on the DB12’s already perfect proportions. The dual-element front splitter, functional bonnet louvres, and fixed rear spoiler don’t just look dramatic - they generate real downforce and enhance stability. Those signature stacked quad tailpipes set in a wider diffuser complete the picture: part GT, part predator.

Inside, Aston has sprinkled even more bespoke touches. A red-anodised drive mode selector hints at the car’s intent, while contrast stitching, seatbelt highlights, and headrest embroidery echo that theme throughout. Trim options include three tailored environments – from leather-and-Alcantara mixes to full semi-aniline hides with intricate S Herringbone quilting and an Alcantara headliner. Optional Carbon Fibre Performance seats keep the weight down and the driver locked in, while the heated Alcantara steering wheel provides that perfect tactile link between man and machine. The craftsmanship is unmistakably Aston - luxurious, meticulous, and ever so slightly unhinged in its pursuit of detail.

According to Simon Newton, Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, “With DB12 S we’ve engineered a host of detailed changes that preserve refinement while amplifying driver engagement. It elevates the Super Tourer ethos to a thrilling new level.” The Aston Martin DB12 S is available to order now in both Coupe and Volante forms, with first deliveries scheduled for early 2026.
