VIDEO: GOPRO FOR WHAT! CHECK HOW TRACK VIDEOS WERE MADE BACK IN THE 70'S.

In the days before GoPro, doing onboard race laps was a little more complicated. Thanks to an ingenious and we're sure pretty dodgy camera rig, which is really massive by the way, we can see just what it takes to drive a six-wheeled Formula 1 car around one of the most legendary circuits in the world, namely Monaco. The Tyrrell P34B being driven here was quite an infamous F1 car back in the day, mainly for its really unconventional design, with its 4 front wheels.

The driver in this lap around the Monaco circuit is Frenchman Patrick Depailler, two-time Grand Prix winner. Bask in this brilliant 70's nostalgia to when Formula 1 was not so full of politics and the cars and drivers were still the ones doing the talking.
