VIDEO: IS THE NEW TURBOCHARGED FERRARI 488 GTB REALLY BETTER THAN THE N/A 458 ITALIA?
The legendary Ferrari F40 was the last mid engined, turbocharged model to come out of the Scuderia stable and the brand new 488 GTB is the first car since to use the same formula, just with loads more technology of course. With turbocharging becoming ever more vital to keep horsepower up and emissions down, it's no surprise that forced induction made a return at Ferrari.
We know the new California is also turbocharged, but the one we’ve been waiting for has always been the 488 GTB, the 458 Italia’s new younger, more powerful brother. With 660bhp on tap, it’s almost 100bhp more powerful than the outgoing car, but can it be a worthy successor for a high-revving aspirated stunner like the 458?
