Oakland police, the California Highway Patrol and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office all responded after vehicles overtook city streets in East Oakland. Shots were reported from several places, and the CHP said it received reports that at least one of the shots was aimed at one of its helicopters, which was viewing the activity from overhead.
