VIDEO: JAY LENO TAKES THE 1975 PORSCHE 356A OUTLAW SPEEDSTER FOR A SPIN!
Chuck Olenyk turned this coulda-been shoulda-been coupe into a classic speedster with all factory parts by himself in his home garage! This car is owned by Olenyk and is no ordinary Porsche 356A Outlaw, but one transformed from a coupe into a classic speedster.
Making this conversion required more than 2,000 hours of work and according to Olenyk, all the work was made in his home garage using all factory parts. The car features the early 911 Fuchs alloy wheels, that makes this old Porsche look old school cool and funky!
This 356A was built from the ground up, the floor of the car has fallen apart so badly he could not remove the roof at first as it was holding the vehicle together. Out of the 2,000 hours spent, which took about 7 years, 500 hours were spent repairing the rust.
Olenyk tuned the engine from a Porsche 912, a transmission from a 356B, brakes from a 356C and the car lacks nothing, not even with 115 horsepower, it adds to the charm and overall appeal.
