VIDEO: LISTER THUNDER IS A BESPOKE 666BHP JAGUAR F-TYPE
Next month, Lister, Britain's oldest racing car company, plans to reveal what it says is an all-new model based on Jaguar's F-Type at the Historic Motorsport International expo in London.
The bespoke F-Type is being christened the Lister Thunder and is being dunned the ‘logical successor’ to the 1990s Lister Le Mans – which was also a Jaguar-based supercar.
Lister reckons that, with some bespoke design tweaks and performance gains, the Thunder is the most powerful and luxurious car they've ever produced.
The Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 now squeezes out 666bhp and Lister claims 0-62mph in just over three seconds, topping out in excess of 200mph.
Most of the visual changes happen up front, with a carbon fibre front apron and extended front splitter, bright green accents around the grille and different vents on the bonnet. At the back, you'll find a carbon fibre bumper and exhaust tips.
Hop inside and you're greeted by Bridge of Weir Nappa leather upholstery and you can choose from 36 different colours – which is a lot.
Jaguar logos inside and out are replaced by Lister motifs.
Limited to just 99 examples, the Thunder will be priced from £139,950.
