WATCH HAMILTON, RUSSELL, SCHUMACHER AND WOLFF PLAY A GAME OF AMG QUARTET

Ever played the card game called Quartet? We hadn’t, but once we heard the rules, it seemed that we sorta knew it. So Quartet is a collectible card game, where players try to collect sets of four cards in the same category (hence the self-explanatory name). It's been around for ages, with roots in traditional family games but no one can quite pinpoint the exact origin. You often see themed versions, like cars, animals, and even aircraft. In Quartet, players take turns asking each other for specific cards, aiming to complete sets of four (quartets). The catch is that you can only ask for cards in categories you already have at least one of, making strategy important. If the opponent has the card, they hand it over, and the player continues asking for more until they miss, at which point the turn moves to the next player. It’s sorta like a game of Go Fish mixed with Uno. So why would some of the most well-known Formula One personalities play this game in a poker-like setting? It’s actually a perfect match for AMG and F1! The game often features iconic cars or cool trivia about vehicles, and there are specialized Quartet decks with famous cars, engines, or F1 trivia. So, when F1 personalities get involved, it's like mixing a bit of fun nostalgia with the cars they know inside out. There’s a good chance the deck they’re using in the video is all about AMG or F1 cars, which amps up the stakes and relevance for those motorsport heavyweights. I wonder if you can buy this from the AMG merch store? Although that said if it was available in the AMG F1 merch store it would cost at least nine times more than what it would cost anywhere else on the planet.

To commemorate the long and storied history of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport that spans a full 130 years, some of the most well-known personalities linked to the brand got together to play a few rounds of Quartet. Sure it looks like they’re playing a game of poker in some cool and dingy backroom poker club, but we don’t care about the setting, just the car chat. Players in this game included 7-time F1 Championship winner Lewis Hamilton, current No.2 driver for the Mercedes-AMG F1 Petronas team George Russell, legendary F1 driver Michael Schumacher’s son and F1 competitor Mick Schumacher and the big boss -  Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff. What’s on the line in this weird but cool classic card game? Oh, just the most iconic line-up of vehicles from the last 130 years of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport, each one brought to life as its card is played. Which car will outshine the other? Is it the unmatched Mercedes-Benz C11, the strictly limited Mercedes-AMG GT3 Edition 130Y Motorsport, the fascinating Mercedes-AMG ONE or maybe the iconic Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR? Get ready to find out and see history come to life. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ and the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE also make an appearance to seal off this strange bit of content.

Take a look at the YouTube video that shows how some of F1's top dogs get down and dirty playing card games that involve a range of the coolest classic AMG models. We're not sure about the rules, but it looked like a cool game: The Ultimate Quartet | Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Toto Wolff & Mick Schumacher | Mercedes-AMG
