THE PUGNATOR IS MANSORY'S TAKE ON THE FERRARI PUROSANGUE - IS IT A HIT OR A MISS?

Here at SXdrv, we often mention that we’re opposite to most out there and that we quite like over-the-top builds. It’s part of the reason that we have a bit of a fanboi session whenever we see new content from the world-famous German tuning house that goes by the name of MANSORY. This legendary aftermarket tuner is known for delivering top-tier upgrade packages, especially for modern machines from their homeland, but they do have an extensive portfolio of various Ferrari models they’ve tinkered with too. When they get their hands on a car, it’s a full spectrum of possibilities, from subtle tweaks to an all-out transformation, and this latest creation most definitely falls into the latter. With a Ferrari Purosangue as the base, and with Ferrari clientele being notoriously boring when compared to other supercar owners, there was plenty of room to play with the car. The Purosange is already a pretty good-looking slice of Italian machinery, but to the designers at MANSORY, it was an opportunity to do all the things to make one stand out from the rest and in this case, the end result is one of those total vehicle conversions that borders madness. When Ferrari introduced the Purosangue in 2023, it was their first-ever Sports Utility Vehicle, it also marked a groundbreaking moment for the brand - a four-door with four seats. Naturally, the Purosangue drew immediate attention, becoming one of the most anticipated vehicles from Ferrari even before it hit the streets. The Purosangue blended exhilarating performance with luxurious comfort, encapsulating the essence of Ferrari - raw power, driving pleasure, and refinement. It was this fusion that made it an ideal candidate for the MANSORY treatment.

MANSORY has called its new creation the Pugnator - a name, derived from Latin meaning ‘fighter’ or ‘competitor,’ and it perfectly captures the essence of MANSORY's approach. This transformation, unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, showcases the full extent of the Bavarian luxury brand's engineering and design expertise. The Pugnator grabs attention from every angle, which in this case may not be a good thing. It's draped in a Vermillion paint - a deep, metallic red that helps showcase MANSORY’s signature forged carbon fibre to emphasise Ferrari’s iconic colour scheme. Every element, from the striking, enlarged carbon fibre air intakes in the redesigned front apron to the full carbon front bonnet, all enhances the aerodynamics and visual aggression. Extended wheel arches, deep carbon fibre side skirts, and a two-part roof spoiler seamlessly flow into the rear before standing out. For the first time, MANSORY debuts its new 'FC.5' ultra-light forged rims, one-piece wheels in a split size of 22 inches up front and 23 inches at the rear and they’re finished in gloss black. There’s also a reworked ECU and a bespoke 4-pipe sports exhaust system and so the Pugnator cranks out an impressive 563 kW and 730 Nm of torque. Inside, MANSORY's customization expertise truly shines but the end result isn't for people with kids. Interior options are endless, allowing owners to tailor everything from leather and stitching to carbon fibre accents, but in the launch vehicle, ivory leather dominates the cabin, accented by red highlights and visible carbon fibre components. From the MANSORY carbon leather steering wheel - complete with shift lights - to the branded seatbelts, aluminium pedals, and bespoke floor mats, every inch of the cabin exudes exclusivity - which isn’t the same as good taste. This thing is bonkers, and it’s one of the rare MANSORY
