WHY DO SLOWER TEAMS STAY IN F1?

If you ask the average Joe to point out the first F1 racing team that comes to mind, they will probably say something like Mercedes, Red Bull or even Ferrari, but only diehard F1 fans really know of the slower teams such as Haas and Williams, and rightfully so!

But why is it that a financially struggling team still are adamant to stay in the sport of F1 where week in and week out they finish dead last when it costs millions of dollars per year just to be there?

Well, in short, it has a lot to do with the mindset of hopefully doing better next time. But there is more than what meets the eye when it comes to F1 race teams.

Race teams don't get their budget exclusively from sponsorships, although it does play a major part. The world of F1 revolves a lot around opportunities as well. Williams Racing signed with Mercedes Benz which drastically help them not only financially but with research and development as well. The same goes for Alpha Tauri and Red Bull.
