WHY PLASTI DIP GETS A BAD REPUTATION
Plasti Dip is a great alternative to respraying your car, but here is why it sometimes gets a bad reputation.
Over the last couple of years, the removable rubber spray brand called Plasti Dip has grown in popularity, especially in the car enthusiast community. The idea that caught people's attention was the fact that you could now change the colour of your car in a non-destructive way, for a fraction of the cost, in comparison to more traditional methods like vinyl wrapping or even a full respray. On top of all that, you could do the DIY job yourself if you have the technical knowhow.
However, as easy as this product may seem to be to use, there are a few things to keep in mind, and do your research before using it! There have been countless times that people purchase the right amount of product and accessories, and even do their masking well, but the job ends up being a complete mess. What happens thereafter is that those folks usually blame the product and not themselves.
As cost-effective as Plasti Dip is, there are right and wrong ways to do it. Before you start any work on your car, always make 100% sure you have done your research and know what you're doing. Alternatively, get a professional who knows how to work with Plasti Dip to respray your car.
