This is why the Tesla Model Y received the highest safety rating ever.

Tesla has always taken its safety incredibly seriously, and it remains one of their top priorities.

Tesla's earlier cars, the Model 3 and the Model S, both received 5-star safety ratings in every category conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The less expensive Tesla Model 3 not only received the same impressive safety rating but remains the safest car ever tested by the NHTSA.

Tesla added its first SUV to their lineup with the Model Y, and aimed to impress yet again with its incredible safety rating and features. When the tests were done, the NHTSA revealed that, not only did it too hit the 5-star mark, but the Tesla Model Y is now the world's safest SUV on the market today. It has the reputation of being the least likely SUV to roll, and this is thanks to the large battery packs fitted to the floor to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.
