VIDEO: TESLA MODEL X SETS A WORLD RECORD

Elon Musk's Tesla Model X recently set a world record while racing against a Lamborghini Aventador. The Lamborghini Aventador SV takes on both a Tesla Model X P100D and a Model S P100D in an all out 1/4 mile drag racing battle at Palm Beach International Raceway.

In the eerily quiet nature of electric vehicles, Tesla's Model X P100D blasts on to set a new world record for being the worlds quickest SUV.

The Tesla Model X P100D sets the quarter-mile record for the fastest SUV time ever recorded and it managed to beat the Lamborghini Aventador SV. The Tesla absolutely smoked the Lamborghini off the line, however, as the cars near the quarter-mile mark, the Italian supercar builds up a head of steam and begins to reel the Tesla in, which seems to run out of steam a bit past the eighth-of-a-mile. A good effort but the Aventador SV was playing catch-up for the entire race.
