2022 FORMULA 1 CARS WILL NOT BE SLOWER THAN THE PREVIOUS SEASON - HERE'S WHY
Since the concept of the 2022 Formula 1 car was unveiled close to two years ago already, people have been claiming that the cars will be around 3 to 3.5 seconds a lap slower than the 2020 and 2021 Formula 1 cars, but in recent times that myth has been debunked and here's why:
It goes without saying that the new 2022 Formula 1 cars have far more simplified aerodynamics that include a smaller and less complicated rear wing that still includes DRS (Drag Reduction System) as well as no side skirts, on top of that, the 2022 Formula 1 cars will also have bigger wheels and lower-profile tyres that the teams still have no data on. However, the entire car will feature a design that hasn't been seen in Formula 1 for over 4 decades, that of Ground Effect, which was ruled out due to it being far too potentially dangerous, however, with the new FIA rules and regulations around safety, these cars will only benefit from it in a modern FIA controlled Formula 1 Grand Prix...
