4WD VS WINTER TYRES - DO YOU REALLY NEED WINTER TYRES IF YOU HAVE 4WD?

The guys over at Tyre Reviews set up a rather accurate test to discover what is better, winter tyres on a 2WD car vs summer tyres on a 4WD car. The idea was to take a 4WD variant and a 2WD variant of the same car to the Goodyear test facility in northern Finland and set summer tyres on the 4WD car and winter tyres on the 2WD car and perform a series of tests.

Just from the first test, which was acceleration performance and braking, you'll immediately be shocked to see just how important it is to invest in a good set of winter tyres regardless of what car you might have!

So what is the conclusion? Do you really need winter tyres if you have 4WD? YES!
