The list of ridiculously fast cars that Ken Block has had at his disposal is almost endless. If a car has great performance, Ken has taken it to within millimeters of cliff edges, solid walls and other cars. Recently Ken Block changed over to have Audi as his main vehicle sponsor, and not only does it give Block access to some amazing Audi RS models running on what's left of the dead dinosaurs, it also means he has access to some of the very best electronic vehicle tech and cars.
Ken's latest showoff car is none other than the Audi RS e-tron GT, which I'm sure you'll agree is an epic daily driver. The Audi RS e-tron features a whopping 637hp (475kW) with torque up at 612Nm which makes it a fast car despite it's rather large size. What makes electric cars so different is the fact that all of the power and all of the torque is available in an instant. When you mash that Audi RS e-tron "gas" pedal to the floor, the big car gets up and gallops at a serious pace.
At a recent test session, Ken Block and the Hoonigan crew took the Audi RS e-tron GT to a test venue to see what it's exactly capable of. Here the RS e-tron performance was measured over a few distances to see how fast it is - and if you check out the video below you'll see it's pretty much supercar stats that the car spits out. For over two tonnes in weight, the stats make you question physics a little - these monstrous Audi RS e-tron GT cars can hit 100km/h in less than four seconds. That tells you the kind of g-forces experienced in a drive with Ken Block. You may notice that Block tells people to put their heads back against the Audi RS sports seats before launching the car as it can be so vicious that passengers who aren't ready can be physically hurt.
Many motoring fanatics are unhappy about electric vehicles taking over from the fossil fueled engines, but with performance they're capable of like the Audi RS e-tron GT, it's definitely the way of the future. We say definitely, because the all-Electric Audi RS e-tron GT is also the fastest RS in the entire lineup, including the R8.
