CHRIS HARRIS GIVES HIS THOUGHTS ABOUT THE GRIM FUTURE OF THE PORSCHE 911

Top Gear Presenter and motoring journalist, Chris Harris, shares his thoughts on the future of the iconic Porsche 911.

Chris Harris explains that, although the car world is heading towards becoming fully electric, Porsche, and other manufacturers alike, is investing heavily into synthetic fuels. This is not because they don't want to go electric, as they have already come close to producing one of the best electric performance cars available with the Taycan, but rather because of how the company needs to stick within the emissions guidelines of modern times.

Chris Harris is convinced that, in the next few years, most Porsche models will become fully electric. But, in doing so, the emissions gap will still leave room for some internal combustion engine offerings. Due to the 911 being Porsche's most desirable sports car, it is most likely that 911's of the future will be some cleverly designed hybrid engine that runs of synthetic fuels – so it's not over for the 911 just yet!
