GERMAN TUNER MANHART RESTOMODS THE ICONIC LANCIA DELTA HF INTEGRALE 16V TO PERFECTION

Lancia has only been a shadow of itself for a number of years. The Italian luxury brand is currently only represented in its home market with the Ypsilon model. Although the start of a new era has been announced, until this begins, we can sadly only look back at the glorious history. Unforgotten legends like the Delta racing cars, especially the HF Integrale rally cars, need to be saved. German aftermarket tuner MANHART, understands this. While the brand is usually associated with high-quality customization of current models, from BMW in particular, the topic of heritage is also very important to the specialists from Wuppertal. This is why optimized classics (A.K.A. restomods) are created under the MANHART Classic Cars label. The scheme of the typical MANHART naming remains unchanged. Thus, the 400 gives an indication of the vehicle’s performance, that’s the number of horses now harnessed under the vented hood. To be more accurate, the power of this superb Italian restomod it is 375 hp and 550 Nm. It’s an impressive bump in power from the OEM power of 200 hp with 298 Nm of torque and comes from a combination of a MANHART software with various hardware changes like a turbo performance kit with an upgraded turbocharger including a racing header and turbo timer. Added to that is a set of MANHART forged pistons with forged H-beam conrods, a Catcams camshaft, a Bosch fuel pump, a Group N-Air Intake and an uprated radiator. Things finish with a bespoke 3.5-inch exhaust system that ends in dual 80 mm tailpipes.

The 5-speed manual transmission was also upgraded using Group N components and a new Sachs clutch provides the necessary clamping to effectively use the power. The MANHART chassis optimization includes KW Suspension Variant 3 coilovers to increase handling dynamics, and an Evo brake kit guarantees a fast way to shave off the speed when needed. The kit uses 4-pot Brembo calipers with sizeable 380 mm × 28 mm discs up front while 2-piston calipers and 284 mm × 22 mm discs do duty at the rear. Keeping things Italian, MANHART opted to use a set of lightweight 17-inch OZ Racing Rallye Racing wheels finished in Dark Graphite with silver lettering, but this can be changed if the prospective buyer wants a different look to the car. The Italian hot hatch is visually distinguished by a MANHART Evo roof spoiler, and to make it a MANHAT car, it’s been wrapped in the colour you see here with the addition of a MANHART decal set. For the interior, everything applicable was covered in a fine leather/Alcantara combination with individual accents added in. There’s also a MANHART short shifter, MANHART Evo instruments and a 350 mm MANHART sports steering wheel. The last thing to complete the restomod project is a set of tailored MANHART floor mats. All this will set you back a cool $145 000, which is pricey, to say the least. In this case, the package was carried out on a 1990 model with less than 60 000 km on the odo. It’s not clear if the price tag includes the car, or if those wanting a MANHART Integrale restomod will need to supply a base car.

Take a look at the YouTube video that does an ok job of flashing the attached pics at you while describing what's been done to this restomod Lancia Delta Integrale. We'd love to show you the actual car, but Manhart are quite lacking in their social media updates. If you know someone near Wuppertal and they can operate a video camera half-decently, tell them to hit up Manhart for some videography work: MANHART Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V | Montoran
