IS THE T.50 BY GORDON MURRAY AUTOMOTIVE THE NEW MCLAREN F1?
Built by Gordon Murray Automotive with the help from the Silverstone-based F1 racing team, Racing Point, the T.50 goes on to show how a hypercar should be made.
Since the McLaren F1, only two cars have ever been released with a three-seat setup, and they are the McLaren Speedtail and the GMA T.50.
The T.50 features a naturally aspirated 3.9 litre Cosworth V12 engine, something Gordon Murray envisioned right from the very start, even before the design of the car existed.
Arguably the most impressive aspect of this incredible car is its power figures, which are like nothing any other hypercar features in modern times. The GMA T.50 produces 654hp and 467 Nm of torque, however, the entire car weighs in at just 986kg! Those power figures and kerb weight, combined with an engine that maxes out at 12,100rpm, means that the T.50 can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 2.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 220mph.
