PAGANI AND BATHING APE PARTNER UP TO CREATE A RANGE OF AWESOME CLOTHES WE CAN'T AFFORD
We often see clothing and fashion brands aligning with automakers, and it makes perfect sense because while a lot is down to market research, there’s also quite a bit of stereotyping at play too. Sort of like vaping and Subaru, Fiestas and Monster Energy, BMW and Puma and more. When it comes to exclusive automakers at the higher end of the spectrum, the level of quality with the brands that are in collaboration usually results in an amazing range of clothing and accessories that are often as exclusive (and expensive) as the cars. When it comes to an automaker like Pagani you just know that whatever clothing brand they partner with will be one of the best. In this case, the partnership with Bathing Ape (BAPE®) continues and late last year a new range of clothes, shoes and accessories was launched. This follows the successful first collab that celebrated Pagani Zonda’s 20th anniversary. This new joint effort celebrates the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC. BAPE®’s colour palette and style have been used at the request of a client to “dress” a bespoke version of the model.
This new capsule collection includes a limited range of selected high-quality items like zipper jackets, polo shirts, t-shirts, sneakers, a cap and an aluminium keyring, all of which will be available at the BAPE STORE®, at the Pagani Atelier, and online at Paganistore.com and Bape.com. BAPE®’s signature camo print features on the lining of the jacket, the sleeves of the polo and t-shirt, the peak of the cap and the uppers of the sneakers, and the final touch for the collection is a special patch showing the two brands together. This is a partnership, which is why there’s also a one-off Pagani Huayra Roadster BC customised with the iconic blue BAPE® ABC CAMO pattern on the bodywork with the same shades of blue inside the car on the seats and the roof lining. The BAPE® name also appears on a dedication plate. For those who aren’t affected by a 13-week January, there’s also a set of coordinated luggage and sports clothes that includes a tracksuit and gloves in the same camo pattern.
