MERCEDES-AMG ADDS AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ TO MOTORSPORT COLLECTORS EDITION LINEUP.

Limited edition cars are in fact rather plentiful. There are loads of them around from every automaker that we know of, you also can’t hit up any kind of event without seeing a limited edition car roll up. Of course, the actual car that’s branded as a limited edition is limited in numbers, hence the name. Some automakers have started a range of collectable cars, from Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG there’s now the "Motorsport Collectors Edition" and the latest car to be added to this lineup is the Mercedes AMG SL 63 4MATIC+. In this case, the car limited edition car was created to signify the end of the 2022 Formula 1 season, and that’s why this AMG SL’s whole look and feel was inspired by the Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E PERFORMANCE racing car. The changes to the car are mostly aesthetic, the twin-turbocharged V8 is rated at 430 kW with 800 Nm of power mated to a 9-speed automatic with SpeedShift MCT. While upgrades would be welcome, the car already bears the AMG badge so you know it’s a beast of a thing.

The AMG droptop looks amazing thanks to the exclusive two-tone paint with the iconic star pattern along with a host of Petronas-coloured contrasting features as well as extensive equipment options with the Aerodynamics and Night packages available. The SL 63 4MATIC+ wears 21-inch AMG 10-twin-spoke forged wheels in matt black with Petronas-coloured rim flanges, while the AMG Aerodynamics package includes larger flics on the front and rear apron and a larger rear diffuser. The AMG Night package has selected exterior features finished in high-gloss black on the front splitter, side sill panels, mirror caps and the decorative trim in the rear diffuser and darkened exhaust tailpipes while the AMG Night package II adds black chrome on the radiator grille, typography and rear Mercedes star, headlight and taillight backing, and brake calipers. The AMG fuel filler cap is in silver chrome with "AMG". Inside there are AMG Performance seats in a choice of two finishes as well as a heated AMG Performance steering wheel with a carbon fibre rim. Infotainment comes from a Burmester® high-end 3D surround sound system, the MBUX Interior Assistant, the Driving Assistance package and the AMG TRACK PACE gives valuable feedback when driving on the racetrack. There’s also the Load Compartment package and the car is fitted with the GUARD 360o. security package.
