ROLLS-ROYCE UNVEILS THE BLACK BADGE CULLINAN DAISY - A BESPOKE LOVE LETTER TO THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed its latest one-off commission, the Black Badge Cullinan Daisy - an ultra-personalised version of the Black Badge Cullinan Series II, crafted for a client who’s clearly never heard the phrase “less is more.” Inspired by a field of wild daisies along a favourite hiking trail in the High Tatras mountains, the Daisy is a rolling tribute to resilience, perseverance, and, of course, absolute excess. Commissioned by a successful entrepreneur in the outdoor and adventure gear world, the Black Badge Cullinan Daisy is a 4-wheeled monument to a life built outdoors, but enjoyed from the extreme comfort hand-stitched leather embrace of a half-million-dollar SUV. The Daisy’s Powder Blue exterior is paired with a single, hand-painted Coachline, accented with a tiny daisy motif - because nothing says “rugged outdoor spirit” like an artisan brushstroke. Against the darkened Black Badge elements like the Pantheon Grille, Spirit of Ecstasy, and all the brightwork, the pastel tone quietly pops without ever shouting. It's restrained, it's tasteful... well, as tasteful as a daisy-themed Rolls-Royce can be. Inside, things get even more intricate. The daisy theme reappears across the front fascia and waterfall section between the rear seats - painstakingly sandblasted into Blackwood veneers. The process involves precision-blasting the wood with fine minerals to create a stunning, three-dimensional effect that plays with light and shadow. It’s craftsmanship at a level where most people would need a magnifying glass just to appreciate it.

“My love for the outdoors has been a driving force behind both my personal passions and professional success. I envisioned the Black Badge Cullinan Daisy as a symbol of perseverance — balancing strength with serenity,” says the anonymous commissioner.

The rest of the cabin is wrapped in a sophisticated three-colour scheme: Fleet Blue dominates, flowing over the Rotary Controls and B and C pillars, while Selby Grey and Black leather add subtle contrast. Seat piping in Fleet Blue and delicate Selby Grey stitching and headrest monograms finish it off. Illuminated treadplates, complete with daisy graphics, light the way in and out of this rolling floral tribute. Hidden in the rear coach doors are Rolls-Royce’s famous Bespoke umbrellas - but with a twist. The interiors feature a daisy pattern so detailed you might find yourself looking forward to rain, just to whip one out and show it off. These are proper excess, a new one costs between $800 and $1,000, and customised with daisies, the brolly probably costs as much as my car did. No Rolls-Royce is complete without a sky full of stars, so the Daisy's Starlight Headliner features four major constellations: Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Gemini, and Taurus. It’s like camping under the night sky - if your idea of camping involves a V12 engine, champagne coolers, and seats softer than your own bed. Finally, tucked away in the boot is a Bespoke Recreation Module - an automatically deployable storage compartment, perfectly designed to carry the client’s favourite hiking equipment. Because when you’re conquering trails (or luxury resorts), convenience is king.

“This commission challenged us to capture natural motifs through craft and materiality. Black Badge Cullinan Daisy is quietly confident, rich in symbolism, yet modern in execution,” says Martina Starke, General Manager, Bespoke Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Take a look at the YouTube video that sadly doesn't show off this bespoke commission mentioned above, because content featuring that car doesn't exist yet.
