TAG HEUER JOINS F1 ACADEMY AS OFFICIAL PARTNER AND TIMEKEEPER, STRENGTHENING ITS MOTORSPORT LEGACY

When it comes to precision timing in motorsport, few names carry as much weight as TAG Heuer. With a history spanning Formula 1, endurance racing, and historic events, the legendary Swiss watchmaker is now expanding its commitment to the future of racing talent by becoming the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of F1 Academy for the 2025 season. A stepping stone for the next generation of female racing drivers, F1 Academy is a Formula 4-spec series designed to increase female participation in motorsport. Since its debut in 2023, the series has provided a top-tier competitive platform for female drivers, running alongside Formula 1 and offering essential support to propel talent into higher categories. Now, with TAG Heuer’s involvement, the series gains a brand synonymous with performance, precision, and pushing boundaries - both on the track and beyond. The 2025 F1 Academy season spans seven countries across three continents, with races at iconic circuits including Shanghai, Jeddah, Miami, Montreal, Zandvoort, Singapore, and Las Vegas. With powerhouse teams such as PREMA, Campos, Rodin, MP, ART GP, and Hitech - each with deep roots in junior and feeder series - F1 Academy is establishing itself as the premier proving ground for female racing talent. The series’ Tatuus-built race car, now featuring a bespoke TAG Heuer-designed livery, is engineered for both safety and development. With a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine from Autotecnica producing 174 hp, it rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 240 km/h. The carbon monocoque chassis, built to FIA 2021 safety standards, features crucial safety elements such as a steel Halo, anti-intrusion panels, and wheel tether cables. The result? A car that perfectly balances performance, safety, and driver progression - ideal for preparing racers for the next step up the motorsport ladder.

Beyond the racing itself, F1 Academy also drives grassroots initiatives through F1 Academy DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE™, a global program aimed at increasing female participation in motorsport, both on and off the track. The initiative supports karting programs like the Champions of the Future Academy Program, helping identify promising talent and guiding them into single-seater competition. One standout talent emerging from this pipeline is Aiva Anagnostiadis, a 17-year-old Australian driver with an already impressive resume. Coming from a racing family, Aiva began karting at just six years old, inspired by her mother’s passion for the sport. She has since racked up victories in Australian karting, represented her country at the World Motorsport Games, and competed in the Indian F4 Series. With testing experience at Rodin and Argenti Motorsport, Aiva now aims to break barriers and become the first Australian female driver in Formula 1. In 2025, she will drive the “TAG Heuer operated by Hitech” car, sporting the brand’s signature red, white, and black colors. As a bold statement of the brand’s commitment to empowerment, the car’s cover will feature the phrase “It’s not a man’s world anymore”, reinforcing TAG Heuer’s role in driving change within motorsport. The partnership between TAG Heuer and F1 Academy is more than just branding - it’s about shaping the future of motorsport. As Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy, puts it: “We are proud to welcome TAG Heuer as Official Partner and the first Official Timekeeper for F1 Academy from 2025. This partnership reflects a joint commitment to empowering female talent and accelerating change in our sport - it’s most certainly not just a man’s world anymore.” Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer, echoes this sentiment: “The values of F1 Academy perfectly align with TAG Heuer’s commitment to innovation, performance, and inclusivity. We are honored to continue our deep-rooted connection to motor racing by becoming the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of F1 Academy.”

Take a look at the YouTube video that doesn't say anything about TAG Heuer being the official timekeeper for Formula One, but it does show a related piece of news that details the famed watchmaker once again becoming the official timekeeper for Formula One as a whole: TAG Heuer - We Are Back | Formula One
