THE DAY SOME GOATS SWAPPED SEATS...

It doesn’t matter what your Formula 1 driver affiliation is, it’s a fact that Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Even if he messed up every season for a few years, it’s doubtful that his winning streak would be equaled. In his successful career Lewis has won an amazing Hamilton has won 103 races, which eclipsed Michael Schumacher’s previous record of 91 wins. Like we said, love or hate him, he’s made history. For fans of the pinnacle of two-wheeled racing, MotoGP, the antithesis of Lewis is none other than Valentino Rossi. The Doctor, as everyone knows him, is the winningest rider in the sport’s history with a total of 89. To put that into perspective, the second place in the tally has 68 wins to his name, so like in Formula 1, Rossi’s MotoGP record is going to stand for a very long time. So they’re the same, but different, just like the sports they’re so famous for. Does that mean they could do what each other does at a competitive level?

The weapons of choice for theses guys are pure mechanical perfection. The current version of Rossi's Yamaha YZR M1 is a beast. While power of 176 kW (236 hp) isn't a high number, you must remember that this power is sent to a single wheel on a lightweight lump of transportation. The 1000 cc four-cylinder pushing out power that a decent hot-hatch makes with a 2.0 turbo lump puts things into perspective.  Hamilton's Mercedes AMG F1 W09 EQ Power+ car in comparison has mind boggling specs. It has up to 750 kW (1 000 hp) available, and in a car that tips the scales at just 733 kg, that means performance that will rip your face off. SXdrv like this!

The pair of seasoned racers met up at a Valencia racetrack to have a go at each other's sport. It's not the first time that Rossi has been in a Formula 1 car, but being in something that wins championships was something a little more special. Same for Hamilton, when you play with speed at the level he does, you know he's been on a fast bike before. Speed is speed and adrenalin junkies like these two seem to have been born with the ability to make fast machines even faster when they touch them, it's spooky.

The fast pair swapped stories, tip and tricks to help each other do better with each other's equipment, I mean who better to get driving and riding advice from than guys with multiple World Championship titles? Things like this are great to watch, which other drivers / riders do you think should do the same kind of video collaboration?
