THE FASTEST PORSCHE IN THE UK IS A 2056 BHP 2007 997 - OG TAKES IT FOR A RIP.

Here at SXdrv, there are a few Porsche fans, it doesn’t really matter which model it is, as long as the bonnet bears that iconic Porsche crest, we’re interested in it. The 911 is the daddy of the series, and the copious amounts of variations in the models mean there’s a Porsche out there that will satisfy the needs of every kind of motoring fanatic there is. Back in 2007, the Porsche 911 was also the 997 series and it’s still one of the best-looking body shapes to leave Zuffenhausen, and all these years later has aged beautifully. This version of the iconic sports car was powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre flat 6 that had 368 kW of power and 650 Nm of torque on tap that was directed to all four wheels via a 6-speed auto transmission. It was not a slow car, capable of 3.7 second 0-100 km/h launch with a 312 km/h top speed. For some, that’s enough, but for those wanting more, there are various tuning options around the world to choose from. In the UK, one such company goes by the name of ES Motor. Any Porsche owners who have ever thought about making more power will likely have heard of the company unless they’re living under a rock. The company specialises in making Porsches faster, no matter which model or generation, they will have a solution. They offer up a hoist of performance packages that are named to indicate the power the work takes the car to. So the ES800 package will give you 800 horsepower, the ES1400 package will deliver 1,400 horsepower, and so on and so forth. Also, to make it even better, the promised power is to the wheels, not at the crank making it a true power upgrade.

The car you see here is the Porsche that ES Motor uses to showcase its amazing work. As per the above, they chose a 1st-generation 2007 911/997 as the base for the demo car. The flat-six powerplant was given more beef in the form of a 4.1-litre RSR powerplant that had every part of it modified to make it as strong as humanly (and mechanically) possible. The main power-adding component is a pair of Precision 6870 turbos running at some serious boost. The car is set up to run on a few different tunes, and in top form, the ES Motor Porsche pushes out an astounding 2,056 hp at a high 2.9 bar boost. That power is sent to all four wheels via a sequential transmission from a 997 Cup car, and you have to be awake to make sure you yank on the shift lever before hitting the 9,300 rpm limit. With all that power, launching the car with anger from a standstill isn’t really a thing, although at lower boost levels the car will get out of the blocks like the proverbial bat out of hell. The car is set up for roll racing, or dig racing, so it’s easy on the launch but then uses all its horses to get to the half-mile with the highest top speed possible. The car is back in the UK after kicking ass in some of the biggest dig racing events in America, and in that time it’s racked up quite a few speed records. The car can accelerate from 200 km/h to 300 km/h in just 3.68 seconds. Danny from ES Motor crossed the half-mile at 368.5 km/h. Right now, and for the foreseeable future, it’s the fastest car on UK soil. Jamie Sonuga from Officially Gassed has a YouTube channel that sees him drive the UK’s fastest and most powerful cars, not as a passenger either, but from the pilot seat, and it’s always entertaining to watch. His reactions are brilliant, and in this video, he was able to sample the ES Motor Porsche on the 2nd highest power setting which equates to around 1,700 hp. Looks like fun.

Take a look at the YouTube video from a rather miff-looking UK where one of the country's maddest YouTube car guys gets behind the wheel of not only the fastest Porsche in the UK but also the fastest car in the country, period. The best part about this 2007 97 Porsche is that it's quite unassuming from the exterior, quite the sleeper, but at 2.9 bar boost it holds plenty speed records: THE *2056BHP GRIM REAPER* 911 TURBO ..WARNING SAVAGE PULLS | OFICIALLY GASSED - OG
