THE ICONIC AUDI RS3 HAS BEEN TWEAKED AND UPDATED - MOVES TO TOP OF THE HOT HATCH WANT LIST.

Audi Sport has crafted the RS 3 with a blend of high-performance features designed for ultimate driving pleasure. At its core is the iconic five-cylinder turbo engine, enhanced by a torque splitter, new standard tyres, and optional semi-slicks, ensuring it performs at the highest level. Like a well-prepared dish, the RS 3 is as visually captivating as it is thrilling to drive. Its motorsport-inspired wheels, carbon and black packages, RS bucket seats, and uniquely shaped steering wheel add to its allure. The RS 3 has always been a recipe for success, representing innovation and excitement since its debut. The RS 3 first hit the roads in 2011, powered by a formidable 250 kW 5-cylinder engine, standing unrivalled in its class. Its distinctive bumpers, sills, and wheels set it apart from the regular A3, while its speed and precise driving dynamics quickly established its stellar reputation. The second generation, produced from 2015 to 2020, expanded the lineup with a sedan variant arriving in 2017. During this time, the 2.5 TFSI engine became synonymous with the RS 3, initially offering 270 kW and later upgraded to 295 kW in 2017. The addition of a quicker-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive enhanced the driving experience by a long shot. In 2021, the 3rd generation of the RS 3 Sportback and the 2nd generation of the RS 3 Sedan were introduced, now with more torque, 500 Nm. there was also the introduction of the 1st-ever torque splitter in an Audi, an innovation that earned the RS 3 numerous international accolades, including Car of the Year 2022 from Top Gear Italy and Best Performance Car 2022 from Motor1 in the United States. The RS 3 has also claimed consecutive victories in the Sport Auto Readers’ Choice Awards in Germany for 2022 and 2023.

This upgrade sees a few cool changes, the latest incarnation of the Audi RS 3 has a sportier appearance with changes to the front end with a new design and a front splitter, that spans the entire width, redesigned daytime running lights, headlights and a digital signature of a checkered flag. Drivers can choose between three additional daytime running light designs in the MMI touch display for the first time. The rear features a large functional RS-specific diffuser that incorporates a red reflector in its centre and, on its sides, the two oval tailpipe trims of the RS exhaust system. The taillights feature a new graphic like the headlights - arrows that dynamically light up from inside to out with the coming home/ leaving home function. The car gets RS-specific exterior colours; Kyalami Green, Kemora Gray, Ascari Blue and Progressive Red, and, for the first time, Daytona Gray in a matt finish. The RS 3 comes with matt-black 19-inch aluminium cast wheels as standard and optional rims are available in the motorsport design from the RS 3 Performance Edition. Even more individuality is available with carbon and high-gloss black packages. The interior features a new steering wheel, RS sport or bucket seats, carbon features, and sporty displays. Flattened above and below, the steering wheel has a substantially sportier look. The facelifted RS 3 retains the same turbocharged 2.5 TFSI engine with 294 kW and 500 Nm, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 290 km/h.
