THE LATEST INCARNATION OF PORSCHE'S 911 GT3 HAS ARRIVED - THE 375 KW 992.2.

Marking its 25th anniversary, Porsche has launched two new versions of the iconic 911 GT3: a track-focused model featuring an aggressive rear wing and a more understated Touring package variant. Both come with a range of tailor-made packages and innovative options. For the first time, the Weissach package, previously reserved for the most hardcore models, is available on the 911 GT3. The new 911 GT3 benefits from refined aerodynamics, with a sharpened design at both the front and rear. A re-contoured front diffuser, spoiler lip enhancements, and underbody fin modifications combine to increase downforce and optimize airflow. Porsche's redesigned Matrix LED headlights integrate all necessary light functions, eliminating additional lighting in the front apron, and freeing up space for larger air intakes. At the rear, the diffuser, air inlets, and rear lid have all been updated for enhanced performance. In the track-ready version, you'll spot new angled side plates on the rear wing, while the Touring package opts for a cleaner look, ditching the fixed wing in favour of an extendable spoiler with a Gurney flap for aerodynamic balance. Both models feature an optimally contoured underbody fin design for improved airflow. The lighter overall weight helps sharpen handling, thanks in part to new lightweight aluminium wheels, which reduce unsprung mass by over 1.5 kg. For those seeking the ultimate performance, Porsche offers optional magnesium wheels with the Weissach or Leichtbau packages, trimming an additional 9 kg. A new 40 Ah lithium-ion lightweight battery also helps shave nearly 4 kg, bringing the lightest configuration of the 911 GT3 down to just 1,420 kg. At the heart of the new 911 GT3 is a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, designed to meet more stringent emissions standards without sacrificing performance. It now features two particulate filters, four catalytic converters, and revised cylinder heads with higher-profiled camshafts. Despite these changes, power remains at a thrilling 375 kW with 450 Nm of torque, matching the outgoing model. Available with either a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch or a 6-speed manual transmission, the new 911 GT3 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in as little as 3.4 seconds with the PDK, or 3.9 seconds with the manual, reaching a top speed of 311 km/h and 313 km/h, respectively.

Inside the new 911 GT3, you’ll find a new lightweight bucket seat with a folding backrest, while a seat shell made of CFRP is an option. The folding function enables access to the optional rear seat system offered for the first time in the 911 GT3 with the Touring package. The alternative is Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with electric 18-way adjustment. The standard black two-seater cockpit is based on the design of the current 911 models, but there’s now a rotary ignition switch.  The digital instrument panel in the centre supports the driver with a structured display and control concept. The “Track Screen” display mode reduces the digital displays to the left and right of the tachometer to key data on tyres, oil, water and fuel and indicates the optimal shifting time to the driver by way of a shift flash. If desired, the tachometer display can be rotated so that the cut-off speed of 9,000 rpm is at the midnight mark. An optionally available roll-over bar demonstrates the proximity to motorsport. Porsche offers various equipment packages for the new 911 GT3 over and above the Weissach package and the aforementioned Touring package, there’s also the Leichtbau and the Clubsport package  - the latter is available at no extra charge and it includes a steel roll cage in the rear, a 6-point harness for the driver and a hand-held fire extinguisher, but you can only have this if you already optioned the lightweight bucket seats. “The new 911 GT3 has become even more exhilarating and individual. We dug into a wealth of details and gave it many features that our customers wanted. This allows the GT3 to be adapted even more specifically to the purpose or preferences of the driver,” says Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Cars. The new Porsche 911 GT3 and the new Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring package can be ordered from the end of the year.
