THE NEW MCLAREN ARTURA – FIRST IMPRESSION AND SPECS

Here are our first impressions of the brand new McLaren Artura and its impressive specs.

The new 2021 McLaren Artura is, without a doubt, an impressive machine. At first glance, it gives you that typical McLaren sense of high-tech elegance, much like the GT and the 720S. In McLaren's range, the Artura sits between them.

The Artura sets itself apart by having both an electric motor and a turbocharged V6, instead of McLaren's traditional V8, and the Artura will also feature an exciting 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The all-new 2021 McLaren Artura makes 671 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque from its combined hybrid motor setup.

All this engineering and power will get the driver from 0 to 60mph is 3.0 seconds, from 0 to 124mph in just 8.3 seconds, and is electronically limited to 205mph.

With concerns of incorporating a heavy hybrid system into the Artura, McLaren had to pull some rather interesting design tricks from up their sleeves. McLaren redesigned the entire carbon fibre body frame to be as ridged and lightweight as possible, making the Artura one of the lightest McLaren's in their current lineup.
