THE QUIRKY POLARIS SLINGSHOT GOES FULL ROCKSTAR WITH THE LIMITED-EDITION GRAND TOURING. SOMEONE BRING THESE TO SA ALREADY!
The Polaris Slingshot has never been about blending in, and for 2026, it’s leaning even harder into that unapologetic, grin-inducing energy. Alongside a refreshed colour palette for the new model year, Polaris is bringing back one of its most desirable creations: the limited-edition Slingshot Grand Touring. Built for long, loud, look-back-at-it-while-walking-away drives, this is the Slingshot turned up to festival headliner spec. Visually, the Grand Touring announces itself with a two-tone Viper Black and Green Venom paint scheme that shifts and shimmers thanks to an iridescent metallic finish. It’s bold, slightly outrageous and exactly what a three-wheeled open-air machine should be. Exclusive Grand Touring badging seals the deal, while factory-fitted accessories elevate both form and function. A colour-matched Slingshade and rear fender flow seamlessly into the bodywork, and the vertical-opening T-Top panels with friction hinges make entry easy while keeping the cockpit bright and open with tinted overhead glass.
Inside, comfort gets a serious upgrade. Heated and cooled seats with custom stitching are standard, controlled via seat-mounted buttons so you can dial things in without distraction. This limited-edition model is based on Slingshot’s range-topping R, meaning performance and hardware match the looks. Power comes from Polaris’ own 2.0-litre ProStar four-cylinder engine producing 150 kW, paired with either a manual gearbox or the AutoDrive transmission. Two drive modes let you set the vibe: Comfort for smoother, relaxed shifts, or Slingshot mode when you want sharper responses and a more playful edge. Brembo brakes handle stopping duties, while the vented sport hood adds aggression and helps manage airflow through the cockpit.
Then there’s the tech and theatre. The Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 Max + Lighting system delivers a full 360-degree audio experience, combining two 8-inch side-panel speakers with 6.5-inch headrest units for a total of 700 watts of sound. Add the XKGlow interior lighting kit, controlled via the Slingshot LED app, and the cockpit becomes a rolling light show, with illumination syncing to your music for maximum drama. For longer adventures, the available RIDE COMMAND+ system adds real-time weather and traffic overlays, vehicle tracking and health monitoring, with the first year included before a subscription kicks in.
Beyond the Grand Touring, the wider 2026 Slingshot lineup offers something for every flavour of three-wheeled chaos. The S opens the range in Slingshot Red or Jet Black, followed by the SL and SLR with more colour and equipment options. The R sits at the top of the standard lineup with bold finishes and maximum performance, while the Grand Touring crowns the range as the most luxurious, expressive Slingshot Polaris has ever built. Limited numbers, big attitude, zero interest in being sensible. If this doesn’t make you wish our market got Slingshots, nothing will. 🏁😎
