THE UGLY YET QUITE COOL TOYOTA SERA

Here is a JDM car that somehow slipped out of the public eye for being ugly, but quite cool at the same time, The Toyota Sera.

Toyota manufactured the Sera from 1990 right up to 1996, and is best known for being a futuristically styled hatchback that actually had a respectable amount of power for its time.

Outside of Japan, it was best known for taking inspiration from the iconic McLaren F1 with its gullwing doors, but across the rest of the car, it still showed its Japanese JDM characteristics.

Under the hood, you'll find a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, which sounds quite small but packs a punch. It pushes out a nippy 108 horsepower and 131-newton metres of torque, and a top speed of 195 km/h.

Believe it or not, this little ugly duckling is becoming quite a sort-after collector's item, but finding a running Toyota Sera is a whole other story!

Marty and Moog, the hosts of the YouTube channel, Mighty Car Mods, recently purchased an unseen Toyota Sera on Facebook as their new project car. Take a look at the video below as they take you around the forgotten Toyota Sera.
