WHY YOU WILL NEVER SEE A COMMERCIAL FOR TESLA
Think about it, have you ever seen a TV commercial for Tesla? Or perhaps a sponsored promotional advert on social media, or even a printed ad in a magazine for Tesla? Probably not. Here's why...
Most companies around the world make use of huge advertising campaigns. The idea is to inform and persuade consumers to buy or make use of their products and services in order for the manufacturer to maximise their revenue. However, Tesla doesn't seem to have to make use of advertising. As a matter of fact, GM spent over $2.7 billion on advertising alone in 2020, which was $1 Billion less than usual due to the pandemic.
One reason for Tesla not running ads has largely got to do with barely being able to keep up with demand. Even with their latest cars, there is a seriously long waiting period, so there is no need to advertise their products at all.
Furthermore, Elon Musk's SpaceX serves as free advertising for Tesla due to its association with the space company. During launches and SpaceX events, Tesla always makes an impressive appearance.
