DRIFT WEEK 2020: CORVETTE C4 GOES UP IN FLAMES
The Hoonigan boys join the California leg of Drift Week 2020 for a day of Hooning with their mates. Unfortunately, the fun is cut short when a Corvette C4 goes up in flames.
Drift Week 2020 is the brain-child of Aaron Losey and includes seven races over 12 days at various different tracks. It's a 1,850-mile cross country trek, from the Harris Hill Raceway in Texas to Apple Valley Speedway in California. When Hoonigans, Hert and Vin heard they were ending at the latter, they decided to join in the fun on the final day of racing at their favourite track.
In an inherently dangerous sport, dents and scrapes are to be expected, but nobody was ready for a Chevrolet Corvette C8 to go up in flames.
Even with the help of the other drivers and their fire extinguishers, panicked owner, Rudy Hansen, eventually had to stand back and watch the vehicle burn as the fire brigade put the fire out.
It's a stark reminder that fire safety is so important at events like this. Fortunately, nobody was harmed, but take a look and see for yourself.
There is a link in the description that will take you to a donation page set up by the other drivers to raise cash to help Rudy. Please donate if you can.
