LAMBORGHINI CONFIRMS THEIR FIRST ELECTRIC SUPERCAR

Not even 10 months ago Lamborghini's CEO released a statement that it is far too soon for them to even consider making an electric car, however, 10 months in the grand scheme of things can actually change a lot. Lamborghini has now officially confirmed that they will be making their first fully electric supercar!

Volkswagen and their sub-brand Audi have invested heavily in electric car development, so it was only a matter of time that their supercar brand, Lamborghini followed in their footsteps.

Lamborghini's new fully electric car is most definitely in the pipeline, however, it won't be for quite some time until we see them on the road as the next generation of Lamborghini's will be rolled out first and all will feature hybrid technology as the Italian supercar makers have a goal that by 2024 Lamborghini will cut its carbon footprint by 50%.

With the success of the Urus, Lamborghini has plans to make a fully electric car that will yet again attract a completely different market. The upcoming electric Lamborghini will be a 4-seater GT car, presumably similar to the design layout of the Koenigsegg Gemera or Porsche Panamera.
