7 FUTURE CLASSICS THAT COLLECTORS AGREE YOU MUST BUY NOW!

It could be argued that anyone with more than two cars can be classified as a collector, but real collectors do more than buy up cool cars to fill their garage space. Those proper car collectors who have the right experience in motoring and buying trends are the people you should listen to if you’re looking to enter the car collection market. Classics can be mad money, but if you’re quick on the draw, it’s possible to secure yourself something special and collectibles for your garage BEFORE it’s posted on Facebook Marketplace with an eye-watering price tag. Future classics. If you listen to the right people, at the right time it’s possible to snap up something collectible that should appreciate in value well before the prices skyrocket.

Classic cars are all about cars that were older but in great condition, these days it can even include restomods and ground up rebuilds. The classics we’re talking about are the ones from the past that were super desirable when they were shiny and new, but as time moved on the values decreased as per normal.  Now years later with less clean examples seen around, the values for the good ones are starting to climb and it’s not uncommon for these classics to be listed for the same or more than their original sales price from back in the day. These are the ones that become sought after and to the right buyer, are worth any amount of money. Oftentimes the cars went on sale and struck a chord in a car-mad kid who always wanted one, and when that same kid is older and making his own money, he’ll happily pay a premium for the now classic car.

How does one predict what car will turn into a future classic? There really is no science to it, it all comes down to desirability, availability and affordability. A future classic could possibly be a model that follows on from a well-known classic like the Mk1 GTi. As time moves on, the Mk2 and Mk3 GTi morphed from a follow-on model to a wanted model too. Sometimes the amount of models of the car made determines the value, but the Golfs were mass-produced and sold in many countries and their desirability shows now sign of slowing. It is usually the flagship models that collectors want, but a super clean, low mileage base model can also fetch big money if the right person wants it.

Here’s a list of 7 cars that are being touted as possible future classics by those in the know - if you have the spare funds it might be a good time to start that classic car hunt to either add to your collection or to keep and flip for a massive profit in a few years.
