A BENTLEY / DUCATI COLAB RESULTS IN THE DUCATI DIAVEL FOR BENTLEY - BIKE PORN.

We love cool colabs here at SXdrv, especially the ones that are a little surprising, just like this. We’ve seen motorbike and car mash-ups before, but this one is quite different thanks to the companies involved. We’ve seen Italian bikes teamed up with Italian cars, and we’ve seen British bikes teamed up with British cars, but this one flips the script a little because what you see here is a special edition Ducati bike that’s linked to Bentley in a creation that we weren’t ready for, but that we like more than we should. As you’d expect with Bentley in the mix, this is a limited number creation and so there will be 500 units available for the general bike-loving public, and a further 50 reserved only for Bentley customers. The Centro Stile Ducati collaborated with Bentley designers who drew inspiration from the Bentley Batur’s horizontal side view lines. The Scarab Green colour is taken from the Bentley Mulliner palette. The aggressive lines of the Diavel V4 were revised to feature many of the characteristics of the Batur and they can be seen in the forged rims that were specifically designed and created for this motorbike to mimic those on the car, and they’re also painted in Dark Titanium Satin. The new side air intakes mimic the two-tone front grille of the Batur, and the triangular rear extractors refer to the corresponding elements of the car. The front mudguard, the fairing and the upper view of the tank recall the ribs on the front bonnet, while the single-seater tail takes styling cues from the double-layer extractor on the back of the car. A bunch of the bodywork components, the fenders, headlight cover, engine, exhaust and radiator covers, radiator shrouds, side panels and the tailpiece are all made from carbon fibre. The seat is black Alcantara, inspired by the interior of the car, complete with the underlying red fabric like the Batur seats, and the Bentley logo is also embroidered.

The extra 50 bikes have been called the Diavel for Bentley Mulliner and these will be available exclusively to Bentley customers. They will also be able to configure their Diavel for Bentley Mulliner with different colours for the saddle, front brake calipers, carbon fibre parts and rims so that they can perfectly match the bodywork of their own Batur models. The Diavel for Bentley is powered by the 125 kW 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine that’s powerful with good torque but is also extremely light and compact. The Twin Pulse combustion order, together with the dedicated exhaust system gives off an unmistakable exhaust note. The Diavel for Bentley comes with a certificate of authenticity, a bespoke passenger seat and a motorcycle cover. The name of the model and the production number of the unit are engraved on a plate inserted in the carbon fibre cover of the vertical head, on the right side of the motorcycle. Both the dashboard, equipped as standard with a turn-by-turn navigator, and the LED matrix of the rear light cluster offer a special animation at the key-on which makes the Diavel for Bentley even more unmistakable. Another cool thing is that each Diavel for Bentley will be delivered in an exclusive personalized wooden case. The colab also resulted in a new line of merch called the Capsule Collection for Diavel for Bentley owners, which allows customers to complete their look with a jet helmet and a technical jacket in a limited edition, characterized by a colour scheme that reflects that of the motorbike.
