FERRARI ENTERS A NEW TURBO-HYBRID ERA WITH THE NEW 819BHP 296 GTB AND IT DOESN'T DISAPPOINT!

Ferrari has officially entered a new world which they swore never to do. They have officially launched the brand new turbo-hybrid 296 GTB that makes an incredible 819bhp!

So what do you actually get with the insane $317,986 price tag of the Ferrari 296 GTB?

The drivetrain is a 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6 plug-in hybrid system together with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels which is nothing shy of 819bhp and 546 lb-ft of torque with a curb weight of 3,527 pounds. The Ferrari 296 GTB will do a 0 - 60 MPH sprint in just 2.7 seconds and will reach a top speed of 205 plus MPH.

The Ferrari 296 GTB is without a doubt a statement of what Ferrari's of tomorrow are going to be like in the sense that they seem to be dropping the idea of a massive naturally aspirated V12 monster of a car and replacing it with a whole new world of possibilities plus being more environmentally conscious as well which is ultimately the best decision for the Italian supercar brand.

Owners of the 296 GTB are not sacrificing anything in terms of performance, drivability or the whole Ferrari experience. AS a matter of fact, what you do get are options. You can cruise around the city on pure electric power if you want to, or you can unleash every drop of horsepower at the simple flick of a button.

The Ferrari 296 GTB is also one of the most fuel-efficient Ferrari's ever made and can even give regular consumer cars a run for their money in terms of efficiency and C02 emissions as well.

According to Ferrari's website, here are the C02 emissions and fuel efficiency figures for the new Ferrari 296 GTB:

    • CO2 EMISSIONS: 149 G/KM
    • FUEL CONSUMPTION: 6,4 L/100 KM
    • ELECTRIC ENERGY CONSUMPTION: 140 WH/KM

"The values of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval.

The fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures refer to the WLTP cycle."
