JOINING THE 2020 TEAM GALAG SNOW TOUR IN A RALLY CAR

The 2020 Team Galag Snow Tour happened in Sweden and Norway, and Sam from Seen Through Glass takes us for the ride in his Citroen C4 WRC rally car.

When you're a YouTube vlogger and have a penchant for travelling the world in various cars, it makes complete sense to impulse-buy a Citroen C4 WRC rally car replica and then join the 2020 Team Galag Snow Tour.

Yes, it's just a replica, buy the plucky Citroen does a damn good job of fooling everyone. Sam, from the popular Seen Through Glass YouTube channel, saw it up for sale and just had to have it.

It's actually a 2006 Citroen C4 2.0 VTS that's been stripped down and kitted out just as the original WRC car was, including its distinctive livery, but that's where the likeness ends.

The engine has been tweaked for an extra 40bhp over the stock version, and it's still front-wheel-drive. It's missing many of the expensive components of the rally car, but that doesn't matter when you head to the snow-capped mountains of Scandinavia, all you need is a hideous pillow to cushion your butt.

Sam joins the Team Galag Snow Tour as they travel 1500 miles between Sweden and Norway in an eclectic bunch of vehicles. From a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3 to a flame-spitting BMW M2, a new Ford GT and a Ferrari Pista.

But, the outstanding vehicle in the troop must be the rally-inspired Porsche 911 991.1 Carrera 4 GTS manual. It's ultra-rare, but that didn't stop the owner from chopping it up, installing a bullbar and winch, a roof-rack with a spare wheel attached above the rear window, and a plethora of spotlights on the roof and bonnet. Wrapped in the Rothmans livery, it looks the part, and when it's complete, with raised suspension and more, it'll be excellent.

There are even more to check out, so press play and enjoy the snow-filled ride!
