The Nurburgring is, without a doubt, one of the world's most famous race tracks. It is also known for being one of the most dangerous as well, which lead to Formula 1 rejecting it from future Grand Prix races after 1985.
Nowadays, the legendary race track is mainly used for specialised testing by automotive manufacturers, lower division racing as well as open track days.
During the open track days, anyone is welcome to use the track regardless of what car you bring, which results in some rather bizarre choices!
In the video below you'll see everything, from busses to hearse cars and DHL courier vans to retro camper vans! And, most of the time, this has nothing to do with exploring the limits of grip or getting in your best lap time, but rather all for fun...which can prove to be a complete nuisance to other drivers taking things more seriously!
