PRIUS SPOTTED IN CALIFORNIA WITH A STARLINK DISH ON ITS HOOD

A Toyota Prius has been spotted driving around the streets of California with a Starlink satellite dish bolted to its hood.

This raises so many questions as to why on Earth would someone do this. It seems so bizarre that we have to assume it's a prank of some kind.

It can't be a legitimate attempt to get WiFi in your car, as it seems like complete overkill. First of all, why doesn't the owner just use mobile data on his cellphone? And, secondly, surely driving around and changing direction changes the dishes ability to effectively connect with the service provider via satellites?

As you'd expect, the driver was pulled over by the cops. The officer had this to say: "Sir, I stopped you today for that visual obstruction on your hood. Does it not block your view while driving?" To which the Prius driver replied: "Only when I make right turns."
