THE BRABUS BIG BOY 1200 IS THE ULTIMATE TOURING/PARTY/SHOW OFF BUS FOR GAZILLIONAIRES.

BRABUS Signature Night is the culmination of the German tuner’s work, it’s an annual event hosted by the company to show off its latest and greatest upgrade packages at the top end of the market. They call it the BRABUS Masterpiece Collection, an utterly mind-blowing celebration of design, innovation and elegance - and not just for the 4-wheeled creations we’re all fans of. The company also has packages and tuning options available for bikes, boats and even fashion… and busses. BRABUS invited clients, top industry celebs and a load of well-heeled automotive fanatics to preview its range-topping Masterpiece Collection that features the most intensive upgrade packages on offer. There was fashion, bikes, cars, SUVs and even boats, but the biggest thing to idle the runway was the BRABUS Big Boy 1200, based on a Mercedes Actros truck converted into a bespoke motorhome by a Belgian-based converter STX Motorhomes. It then gets delivered to the BRABUS crew to add signature touches, resulting in one of the coolest motorhomes on the planet. From the outside, the BRABUS Big Boy 1200 commands attention with its massive frame and sleek all-black exterior, complete with the illuminated BRABUS logo in the exposed carbon radiator grille. Carbon fibre elements enhance the exterior, from the side wind deflectors and fog light covers to the hood handles, all in line with BRABUS’s signature high-tech aesthetic. Matching the high-powered headlights, LED auxiliary lights mounted on the roof bar and LED rear lights to ensure superior visibility on any terrain - very necessary in a truck that looks like midnight. Under the hood, a hefty 12.8-litre 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine delivers an impressive 390 kW and a colossal 2,600 Nm of torque, powering this 12-ton beast with relative ease. To ensure safety on the road, its top speed is capped at 90 km/h. The 3-axle chassis, with dual rear tyres, is engineered for smooth, stable handling and comfort. A 360-degree camera system provides full situational awareness, making navigation of even the tightest spots a breeze.

Stepping inside, the BRABUS BIG BOY 1200 offers over 30 square meters of premium living space, which expands to a width of 4.5 meters thanks to two electrically extendable slide-outs. Hydraulic supports automatically level the vehicle on any surface, and an electric step system provides easy access to the interior. The bedroom features a spacious double bed (160 x 200 cm) with modular expansion, alongside a large closet, a 43-inch 4K TV, and even a PlayStation 5, all designed to bring top-tier comfort and entertainment to remote areas. With Starlink satellite internet, occupants have access to streaming services, global communication, and internet connectivity no matter the location. In the living area, find ultimate relaxation on plush BRABUS leather sofas, adorned in signature grey leather with precise “Triangle” quilting. Black Alcantara, fine wood, and carbon fibre trim accentuate the space with a sporty, refined touch. The kitchen area is fully equipped, featuring an induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, and a spacious refrigerator with an integrated freezer. For a touch of indulgence, a separate wine fridge and coffee machine are ready for any occasion. The dining area, complete with a large black table and designer chairs, also doubles as a comfortable workstation. Of course, no luxury motorhome is complete without a high-end bathroom, and BRABUS delivers - a natural stone oasis awaits, featuring a rainforest shower, WC, and washbasin, located between the bedroom and living area for easy access. Keeping the temperature just right, the BRABUS BIG BOY 1200 is equipped with automatic air conditioning and a parking heater, both powered by eight solar panels and an onboard energy storage system. Up front, the driver’s cabin offers two ultra-comfortable seats upholstered in BRABUS Masterpiece leather, complete with “Triangle” quilting. For added convenience, an electric drop-down bed above the cockpit provides extra sleeping space, and privacy curtains can separate the cockpit from the salon. It’s legit bigger than my house.
