THE STAR-STUDDED ULTIMATE RED BULL RACECAR DRAG RACE IS RIDICULOUSLY COOL.

This trend of setting up drag races using some of the world’s most interesting and iconic cars can be seen across a host of YouTube channels, some doing it better than others. When we first saw this video from Red Bull it looked to have a rather familiar flavour; the track, the look and feel, the filming… and then we saw Carwow’s Mat Watson and it all made sense. Red Bull teamed up with Carwow to create what has to be one of the coolest drag races in this genre to date. We’ve said that before about a Carwow video, but these guys keep stepping up their game and creating more and more interesting content. We do think it will be a whole before a video is released that can top this one, so until then this is the best one EVAR! We already know that anything to do with Red Bull will be brilliant, thanks to being one of the world’s most recognised brands as well and their massive involvement in motorsport means access to some of the world’s best vehicles driven by some of the world’s most well-known racers. For this instalment of awesomeness, the Red Bull and Carwow crew lined up a Formula One car to race against a WRC (World Rally Championship) car, a WRX (World Rally Cross) car, a Moto GP bike and even the one-of-one all-electric Ford Supervan. It’s rare enough to see all these cars in the same place at the time, but having them actually compete against each other is a proper visual treat.

Representing Formula One we have the 2012 Red Bull RB8, and to make this championship-winning car perform at its optimum, the car was piloted by 21-year-old Liam Lawson who currently has a seat at Red Bull-sister team Alpha Tauri. To pilot the 600 hp WRX car, the crew roped in the 2019 FIA World Rallycross champion Timmy Hansen, a super-talented driver who always adds in some flair. The 500 hp WRC car was given to M-Sport Ford World Rally Team’s Adrien Fourmaux for the race, and it was also punished a bit by Matt Jones Carwow's Mat Watson. The all-electric Ford E-Transit Supervan was given to Romain Dumas to exploit all 2 000+ hp it has on tap. Finally, there’s the two-wheeled entrant in the form of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing RC16 MotoGP bike. To get the best out of this machine the legendary Spanish MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa was singled out. There’s more pedigree in this race than any others we’ve seen so far, and that just translates into amazing action. We were a little surprised by the results of the drag races, these cars (and bike) are properly fast, but you have to remember that all of these vehicles are designed to be fast on a racetrack with mind-blowing handling and cornering abilities so while the straight line performance is properly impressive, it’s not a true reflection of what these things are all capable of. Which of the five Red Bull racers is your money on? We had our best placed firmly on the Supervan, believe it or not…

Take a look at the YouTube video from Red Bull that shows us what has to be one of the coolest drag races imaginable with some of the world's most recognised racecars and bikes that all happen to belong to the Red Bull world of racing, driven by Red Bull athletes and teammates. This is one video that can answer a whole load of race-related questions about which of these cars would be the fastest in a straight linesession: F1 Car vs MotoGP Bike vs Rally Car: Ultimate Drag Race! | Red Bull
