THE MOST POWERFUL PORSCHE CAYENNE OF ALL TIME IS HERE - THE CAYENNE TURBO E-HYBRID COUPé!

Porsche once again tops off the 3rd-generation Cayenne of this successful SUV with a plug-in hybrid, and it’s now the most powerful Porsche Cayenne created. It’s actually quite silly to advertise that the latest version of something is the biggest and bestest, if it wasn’t there wouldn’t be much point in creating a new one, right? Anyhoo, the new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid features a twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant as the base, and it’s mated to an electric motor and the pair combine to make some pretty healthy power and torque. The V8 lump has been comprehensively reworked and alone it’s already rated at a powerful 441 kW. The single electric motor is rated to supply 130 kW of power, and the combination comes in at a very strong 544 kW of power with a mahoosive max torque figure of 950 Nm. Even in the sizeable body of the Cayenne, this setup equates to some superior performance. Porsche claims the luxury SUV can hit 100 km/h in as little as 3.7 seconds, and gallops up to a massive top speed of 295 km/h. Supercar performance in a hybrid SUV, but it will also come at a typical Porsche selling price of € 208,454, or over R4 200 000 if you translate that directly and don’t add in the usual fees and taxes and stuff the government likes to take.

The coolest incarnation of the Cayenne has to be the Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with the optional GT Package that bumps up the overall sportiness a fair bit. What this essentially boils down to is being able to option the hybrid range of the Cayenne with the coolest components and add-ons from the big daddy Cayenne Turbo GT. Seeing as this version isn’t available in all markets anymore, Porsche clients can now have the same look and feel in the all-new hybrid setup. In the GT Package, all chassis and control systems, including the air suspension, have been specifically tuned for the new hybrid model. We like this. When you add this package, the Cayennes drops in ride height by 10 mm, the GT-specific pivot bearings increase the camber on the front axle by -0.58 degrees which in combination with wider front wheels enables a more dynamic steering response in corners, higher overall steering precision and notably enhanced cornering grip. The high-performance Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake also comes as part of the package. The dynamic qualities of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé are even further enhanced with performance tyres on the standard 22-inch GT Design wheels, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear-axle steering. On the outside, the GT Package stands out with a specific front section with black accents, black wheel arch extensions, carbon side plates on the roof spoiler, centrally positioned tailpipes of the titanium exhaust system and a carbon rear diffuser. The roof is also made of lightweight carbon fibre. The GT Package also bumps performance, when added the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé can get to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and tops out at 305 km/h.

Take a look at the YouTube video showcasing the latest of the Cayenne range of SUVs, the most powerful created to date thanks to the E-Hybrid setup making proper use of new battery technologies and processes. The technologically advanced SUV can also be had with a GT Package making it rather flipping desirable and the one we'd definitely option if we guessed all 6 lottery numbers right: The new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid: make every day extraordinary | Porsche
