BEAST UNLEASHED - ABT'S LATEST AUDI RS3 UPGRADES ARE PURE CLASS - THE ABT RS3-R IS WHERE IT'S AT!

Audi Sport's RS3 has always been a benchmark in the high-performance compact segment, blending power, precision, and everyday usability in a package that excites both on the road and track. The heart of the RS3 is its legendary turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine, producing 294 kW and 500 Nm of torque. Equipped with Audi’s first-ever torque splitter and a finely tuned chassis, the latest RS3 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h. The model’s aggressive design, RS bucket seats, and carbon fibre accents further reinforce its motorsport DNA, making it a standout performer. Since its debut in 2011, the RS3 has continuously evolved, refining its dynamics and pushing performance boundaries. The introduction of a quicker-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, an upgraded all-wheel-drive system, and a torque splitter have made the third-generation RS3 one of the most agile and capable cars in its class. Recognised internationally with accolades such as Top Gear Italy’s Car of the Year 2022 and Motor1’s Best Performance Car 2022, the RS3 has proven itself a formidable machine. However, for those who demand even more, ABT Sportsline has taken things to another level. Enter the ABT RS3-R, an exclusive, limited-run masterpiece that transforms the already potent RS3 into a high-performance athlete. With only 125 units available globally, this upgrade is not just about raw power - it’s about engineering precision, enhanced agility, and an even more thrilling driving experience.

Under the hood, ABT’s Power R performance upgrade and an efficiency-enhancing intercooler boost output to a staggering 375 kW and 600 Nm of torque. This newfound muscle slashes the 0-100 km/h time to a blistering 3.3 seconds, putting it firmly in supercar territory. The RS3-R's short wheelbase, combined with an upgraded suspension featuring ABT sports stabilisers and special ABT suspension springs, delivers an even sharper turn-in response and greater road-holding capabilities. Visually, the RS3-R exudes track-ready aggression. Aerodynamic components crafted from high-gloss carbon fibre enhance its already menacing stance. A redesigned front spoiler and front flics seamlessly integrate with the facelifted RS3’s sharper lines, while carbon mirror caps and a striking rear skirt insert complete the dynamic look. The Sportback variant gets an additional rear spoiler for added downforce. The ABT HIGH PERFORMANCE HR20 forged wheels, wrapped in 245/30R20 tyres, not only enhance grip but also reduce unsprung weight thanks to their lightweight construction. This ensures razor-sharp handling and precise control, even under extreme driving conditions. Inside, the RS3-R's cabin receives bespoke ABT refinements, transforming it into a cockpit fit for a true driving enthusiast. Custom RS3-R badging, exclusive door sills with a ‘1 of 125’ emblem, ABT-branded floor mats, and a signature ABT start-stop switch cap all serve as reminders that this is no ordinary RS3. The attention to detail reinforces the exclusivity of the build, ensuring the driver feels connected to every element of the machine.
