CUSTOM MADE MAZDA RX-7 PANDEM BOSS HOT WHEELS MODEL

Watch the amazing process of custom building a Mazda RX-7 Hot Wheels model, and then fitting a custom made Pandem Boss kit, together with a roll cage, at such a small scale.

Hot Wheels have been around for nearly 62 years, and still creates a weak spot in the hearts of kids and car enthusiasts around the world. You can find your favourite cars in a variety of styles, colours and racing kits, however, sometimes you want one so unique that you've got to get your DIY skills out and customize one to your specific colour and taste. That's what the creator of the JD Project YouTube channel has done with his Mazda RX-7 Hot Wheels car in the video below.

At such a small scale, 1/70 in fact, it is incredibly difficult to accomplish this customization with little to no skill. The first step is to get rid of the original paint by using a paint stripper solution, then to use a Dremel to buff the shell down to the raw metal. Next, shave away the spoiler and then start to build the custom Pandem body kit with the use of a mould and hard putty. Fabricate your roll cage, apply some paint and decals, and you're ready to go! Sounds simple enough, but this job would probably get you really frustrated until you get the hang of it.

Check out the video below on how the Pandem Mazda RX-7 Hot Wheels model car was made.
