DANIEL RICCIARDO AND MAX VERSTAPPEN DRIFT AROUND THE RED BULL RING

Formula 1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen were taken drifting around the Red Bull Ring by the Driftbrothers.

This video is a lost gem and, if you've never seen it before, here is your chance! A few Formula 1 seasons ago – when Formula 1 actually consisted of a normal calendar year – Max Verstappen and his former Red Bull teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, got the opportunity to hop into drift cars which were driven by the infamous Red Bull Driftbrothers, Elias and Johannes Hountondji.

Ricciardo hopped into the insane LS7 V8 Nissan 200SX and Verstappen in the BMW E30. Both drivers were a little nervous at first as drifting is quite the opposite of the discipline of Formula 1 racing! Ricciardo was trying to work out the physics of drifting as he was sliding around the track, whereby Verstappen didn't want to talk as he just loved the experience of it!

Both Ricciardo and Verstappen loved their run, so much in fact that Daniel had this to say afterwards: "Now I know what I'm going to do after I retire from Formula 1."
