ENYO - A 1948 CHEVROLET SUPER TRUCK FROM LEGENDARY CAR CREATORS RINGBROTHERS IS A SEMA '22 HIT.

There’s a few professional car building outfits that have amassed legions of followers the world over, and one of those is Ringbrothers. The crew took a total of four cars through to SEMA 2022, which is quite a mind blowing thought because when you know the quality of their builds, even having a single car ready for show takes massive work and dedication. With the truck you see here, a 1948 Chevrolet Super Truck that's been dubbed ENYO has over 10 000 hours into it, and when you know how these guys work that’s not a slow 10 000 hours either giving an indication of what went into the final product you see here. “Ringbrothers is in new territory with four vehicle debuts at this year’s SEMA Show,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring. “But we are especially excited to share ENYO with the world as our most outrageous build yet. This long-term project really showcases our ability to explore new means of design, engineering and performance within an entirely new realm of challenges and production with our partners. So, the outcome speaks for itself.”

“We have been quietly planning this build for years, imagining and reimagining how it would ultimately take shape,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring. “The end result is truly a super truck that brings together two vehicles that should never have met. All this, to deliver immense character combined with power and performance that is usually reserved for today’s most advanced racecars. We’re thrilled to finally be able to share ENYO with the world.”
Powering ENYO is a 510 cubic-inch (8.4-litre) tall-deck Todd Goodwin engine with a monster 1 000 hp on tap thanks to things like the Kinsler eight-stack injection, Holley fuel management system and a Bowler Performance Corvette torque-tube 4L80 automatic transaxle. There’s a cantilever-independent suspension all round stabilised by Ohlins shocks. There’s a Nuke Performance air jack system in play as well as Brembo GTS M6 brakes with six-piston callipers. The chassis comes from a collab between Ahlman Engineering and the Roadster Shop while the steel cab is the original 1948 piece, albeit modified. The body pieces are in 3K-weave carbon fibre and there’s even a single-piece carbon-fibre belly pan stretching along the entire underside.
