Check out this rather different drag race between a Land Rover Defender V8 vs a Jeep 392 vs a Mercedez Benz AMG G63 vs a BMW X7 M50, but who will win?

There was a time when SUVs and hardcore offroad vehicles were built with one thing in mind, that of performing their very best going off-road. While that might still be the case, there is a growing trend in SUV's and offroad vehicles competing between who is the fastest out of the lot.

Although cars such as the Lamborghini Urus take the cake when it comes to outright speed, its not exactly known for being a car that you would take on a Safari and do some crazy off-roading in, not by a long shot!

But what happens when you put the best of the best V8 offroad vehicles head to head in a drag race?

Up in this race by the guys over at Carwow, they put a Land Rover Defender V8 vs a Jeep 392 vs a Mercedez Benz AMG G63 vs a BMW X7 M50 head to head in a drag race.

The Land Rover Defender features a 5.0L supercharged V8 that produces 525 HP and 625 Nm of torque. The Mercedes Benz AMG G63 on the other hand has a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that makes 585 HP and 850 Nm of torque. The Jeep Wrangler 392 has a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that makes 470 HP and 637 Nm of torque. Lastly, we have the BMW X7 M50 that has a twin-turbo 4.4 litre V8 that makes 530 Hp and 750 Nm of torque and although it is more of a luxury SUV rather than a hardcore offroader, it still is more than capable!
