MANHART MHX6 500 — TASTEFULLY UNHINGED, EXACTLY AS THE BMW X6 SHOULD BE.

MANHART has never been shy about turning the volume knob clockwise, and with the MHX6 500, the German tuner proves that you don’t need a full-fat M badge to build something properly special. Starting with the BMW X6 xDrive40i, MANHART takes the sensible end of Munich’s coupe-SUV spectrum and injects it with just the right amount of theatre. Known for everything from wild modern builds to exquisitely executed restomods, MANHART understands balance as well as bravado. The MHX6 500 sits squarely in that sweet spot: bold without being cartoonish, aggressive without tipping into excess. It’s the kind of upgrade package that makes the X6 feel like it always had more to give - and now finally does.

Under the bonnet lives BMW’s excellent 3.0-litre B58 straight-six, already a strong performer in standard form with 284 kW and 520 Nm. MANHART’s in-house Mhtronik powerbox rewrites the script, lifting output to a very healthy 358 kW and 630 Nm. The extra punch is backed by a stainless steel MANHART exhaust system with valve control and quad 100 mm tailpipes, delivering a soundtrack to match the newfound urgency. MANHART downpipes, featuring 300-cell catalytic converters, complete the setup, although they’re earmarked for export markets only. Braking remains standard, but for those who intend to push the performance even further, MANHART offers bespoke brake upgrades to suit.

Visually, the MHX6 500 carries itself with confidence. Massive 22-inch MANHART Concave One wheels - 10.5 inches wide up front and 11.5 inches at the rear - fill the arches with purpose, wrapped in 295/30 and 335/25 rubber. Finished here in silk matt black, they can be customised to taste, while subtle lowering via revised coupling rods sharpens the stance. Carbon elements by Larte Design - including a front spoiler, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler lip - add edge without overwhelming the factory lines, and signature MANHART silver rim rings tie the look together. Inside, the upgrades are tactile and focused: carbon paddle shifters, MANHART steering wheel spokes, and embroidered floor mats reinforce the sense that this is no ordinary X6. The result is an SUV coupe that wears its upgrades with intent - over the top, sure, but done with a level of restraint that makes it undeniably cool.

Take a look at the YouTube video from Thomas that explains more about the MANHART upgrade package for the BMW X6 xDrive40i - it's pretty cool and also tame by MANHAT standards: Manhart MHX6 500 BMW X6 xDrive40i G06 LCI 2025 | thomas tyas
