RESTORING A CLASSIC CUSTOM '54 OLDSMOBILE HOTROD PICKUP

This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this restoration of a prize-winning custom '54 Oldsmobile pickup is terrific.

We found this episode of Man-Made: Rust to Riches in the depths of YouTube, and it was too good not to share. Vehicle modifications shows have come along way since vlogging took over, but watching these guys rebuild a one-of-a-kind custom classic is so good.

The car in question is a '54 Oldsmobile that was converted into a prize-winning pickup called Joa-Anne's Dream. It was customised again in the 70s, but new owner, Allan, and his restoration technicians want to take it back to the original owners' personalised show car.

The four-month journey takes them from a rusted shell to the 2009 Chicago World Of Wheels, where they hope they too can win an award or two... Enjoy!
