THE NEW 911 GT3 RS IS ALMOST HERE, AND WE'RE RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!
First off, there is no video of this car yet, we've included the outgoing GT3 RS model's video to show you what the bare minimum of the new one will be. The fan favourite of the Porsche range, the 2023 911 GT3 RS is just about ready to be released. This halo model pops along every four years, and on 17 August the 2023 version will be showcased in its entirety. So far everything we know about the coming supercar is more speculative than fact, but the spy pics of the test unit have shown what it will look like when it hits showroom floors, well sort of, when we see it minus the usual disguises to throw off paparazzi we’ll know for sure. The 17 August 2023 is the date of the reveal - and all we want to know is, is it the 17th yet? The only information officially forthcoming from Porsche, is just enough to tease us.
“The new 911 GT3 RS is even more optimised for track use than its predecessors. The spontaneously responsive, high-revving four-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine with approximately 500 PS has proven ideal for use at trackdays and club sport events,” says Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Model Line. “That's why we focused primarily on aerodynamics and chassis questions in the development of the new 911 GT3 RS.”
Take a look at the YouTube video of the features of the 2018 Porsche GT3 RS, it's an absolute weapon that has it all and managed to be stupidly fast and powerful without the use of turbochargers - it's so good that we're battling to picture what effect possible improvements will bring, but daaaaamn we're excited to see: The new 911 GT3 RS.
