THE NOVITEC ESTESO IS A WIDEBODY FERRARI PUROSANGUE - WE QUITE LIKE IT.
If there’s one thing Ferrari knows how to do, it’s build fast, breathtakingly beautiful machines. And with the Purosangue, the Prancing Horse took a step into uncharted territory - an SUV, but not in the way the world knows them. This thing is a thoroughbred, as the name suggests, blending supercar performance with grand tourer comfort in a way only Ferrari could pull off. Those rear-hinged suicide doors? A masterstroke. From some angles, you’d swear it was a two-door coupe-SUV hybrid, and that illusion is part of its appeal. From the first images we saw, the Purosangue commanded attention. The front end is aggressive yet elegant, the side profile is sculpted to perfection, and that rear - well, that’s likely the angle most people will be seeing when this thing blasts past them. It’s an SUV, sure, but it’s one that carries the soul of a Ferrari. Under the hood sits the legendary F140IA - a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 that belts out a symphonic 533 kW and 716 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, propelling the Purosangue from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 3.3 seconds, 200 km/h in just 10.6 seconds, and onto a top speed of 310 km/h. And while hybrid options loom in the future, it’s this V12 we’d take every single time. With 572 Nm available from just 2,100 rpm and peak torque at 6,250 rpm, it’s got a ferocious, linear power delivery that ensures it never runs out of breath. Enter Novitec, the German tuning powerhouse known for taking already exceptional supercars and turning them into fire-breathing monsters. If there’s a high-performance Ferrari out there, chances are Novitec has developed a way to make it even more extreme. Founded in 1989 by Wolfgang Hagedorn, the company originally specialized in tuning Alfa Romeos before quickly shifting its focus to Ferraris. Over the years, Novitec has earned a reputation for creating some of the most finely tuned, high-powered machines on the planet. From aerodynamics to power upgrades, suspension tweaks, and handcrafted interiors, the company leaves no stone unturned in its quest for automotive perfection.
With the Purosangue, Novitec has unleashed the ESTESO widebody package, adding an extra six centimetres to the SUV’s already aggressive stance. More than just for show, the wider track enhances stability at high speeds while giving the Purosangue an even more imposing presence. The aerodynamic enhancements aren’t just visual tricks either - they improve handling, ensuring that this Ferrari SUV remains planted when pushed to its limits. Buyers can opt for body components crafted from exposed carbon fibre for that ultra-sporty look or go for PUR-Rim plastic finished in either body colour or a contrasting shade. Rolling on a custom set of Novitec-designed Vossen wheels - 22 inches up front and 23 inches at the rear - the Purosangue’s handling is dialled up another notch. The wider stance improves the cornering grip, making this high-riding Ferrari feel even more like a proper performance machine. And then there’s the exhaust. If a naturally aspirated Ferrari V12 already sounds like pure automotive nirvana, Novitec’s high-performance exhaust systems crank up the intensity. The system is available in multiple configurations, with certain setups squeezing out an extra 30 hp from the already potent 6.5-litre powerplant. The result? A Purosangue that not only looks more aggressive but sounds even more feral as it climbs through the revs. Novitec doesn’t stop at sheer performance. The interior gets the full bespoke treatment, with nearly limitless customization options. From exotic leathers to Alcantara finishes in practically any colour imaginable, owners can dial in their Purosangue’s cabin to their exact tastes. Whether it’s a track-ready, stripped-down racer vibe or a luxurious grand tourer aesthetic, Novitec delivers. So what we have here is a Ferrari Purosangue, but turned up to eleven. The standard version is already a masterpiece of engineering and design, but Novitec has done what it does best - taken something spectacular and made it even more special. For those who believe that a Ferrari should be as loud, fast, and visually stunning as possible, this is the ultimate Purosangue.
